A crocodile has been carrying a tyre around his neck for two years

Summary:

Two weeks ago a crocodile with a scooter tyre around his neck was seen in Indonesia. The inhabitants of central Sulawesi had already seen it in September 2016, two years ago, on the Palu River. This indicates that the reptile has been carrying the wheel for at least two years and, due to the growth of the animal, is getting tighter and tighter. Indonesian conservation agents are working hard to rescue the saltwater crocodile and get rid of the suffocating tyre. They have tried on several occasions to attract the enormous animal by using chickens as bait, but have not succeeded.

For that reason, we find out cases like this one, where a crocodile with a tyre around its neck is about to suffocate. 
Probably it is like that because someone threw this scooter tyre to the river and it ended up in the reptile's neck by accident. However, if the wheel had been thrown where it should have been, int he trash, nothing would have happened and this crocodile would be perfect right now.
I believe that, by reading this article, people think about the damage we are doing to animals. A lot of them are dying because of us, and not only for the purpose of eating but also for sheer fun like making coats or leather bags, or for careless acts like this one where, due to human ingenuity, we take away lives. It costs nothing to recycle and you can help the planet and everyone who lives on it.
